1. Introduction
The Institute offers limited residential facility for the students (girls) admitted to various courses in the institute. There are 04 girls’ hostels inside the campus. All hostels have an approximate capacity to house about 414 inmates. Each hostel is self-contained with amenities, such as recreation cum dining hall with mess, gym, garden, etc. All the hostel rooms are adequately furnished. Hostel administration is managed by Chief Warden, a senior faculty member with a team of efficient Wardens. In addition, there is one Matron for each hostel to manage day-to-day affairs of the hostel. Hostel office has full-fledged supporting staff and other workers.

3. Hostel Admission
3.1 The admission Process for First Year Students
The admission to first (I) year hostel is done on the basis of merit in JEE-Mains/NIMCET/CCMT. 75 % of total seats reserved for B. Tech. I year students are generally allotted to students of other states and remaining 25% are allotted to students from state quota (Chhattisgarh). The students from local and nearby areas are given the least preference. The seats to the students in the first year hostels are allotted as per institute reservation norms.
3.2 The admission Process for Higher Semesters
Only regular students are eligible for Hostel admission. The seats for higher semester students of
different branches are also allotted on the basis of their merit till previous semester and as per institute
reservation norms. Merit list is based on their CPI score. In case of the CPI is same, SPI will be considered.
Hostel seats are allotted on branch wise pro-rata basis. The students from local and nearby areas are
given the least preference.
3.3 Physically handicapped and DASA students
All the physically handicapped and DASA students are allotted hostel seats on priority basis.
4. Hostel Fees
(i) The students who are admitted provisionally to the hostels are required to pay a total fee of Rs. 45,500.00 (including mess advance) annually. Total hostel fee comprises of two parts: Part (a) of Rs. 37,500.00 is to be paid in favour of “Girls Hostel Account” No.: 63028853891 through SBI collect. The students can pay the whole amount (Rs. 37,500.00) of part (a) in two instalments. First instalment of Rs. 22,500.00 is to be paid at the time of admission and second instalment of Rs. 15,000.00 at the beginning of next semester.
(ii) Part (b) of the fee (Rs. 8000.00) is to be paid at the time of admission in The “Director NIT Raipur” Account no. 38027633250 through SBI collect.
(iii) The hostel fee includes mess advance of Rs. 30,000.00, which is refundable after deducting the actual annual mess bill. If the mess charges exceed this amount, the excess amount will be charged from the students and Rs. 1000.00 (caution money) is refundable subject to no dues.
(iv) The refund of excess mess advance and caution money is done through SBI account only. Therefore, every hosteller is required to own an SBI account.

Note:The students joining hostels will be provided with a bed, Almira, study table, and chair. They have to arrange a mattress, bed-sheet and other belongings on their own.
6. Hostel Mess
The mess for hostels are run as students’ cooperative mess and are managed by student mess committees of respective hostels. The entire management of the mess is looked after by the students mess committee. The committee is responsible for purchase, cooking, maintaining good quality and hygienic conditions inside the mess. The weakly mess menu is decided and displayed by the mess committee as per the suggestions received from the hostel inmates. Every year, at the beginning of the session, the mess rules are framed in a meeting of mess committees and wardens.
7. Management
All the student activities in hostels are managed by the students.
Following committees are nominated by the wardens every year –
Mess Committee: The mess committee is responsible for managing the mess.
Maintenance Committee: The Maintenance Committee is responsible for minor repairing and maintenance of hostel amenities.
Magazine Committee: The Magazine Committee is responsible for purchase and maintenance of magazines and newspapers for hostel inmates.
Sports Committee: Sports committee is responsible for purchase and maintenance of sport items for indoor and outdoor games.
Discipline Committee: Discipline Committeeis responsible for maintaining overall discipline.
Gym Hall Committee: The Gym committee is responsible for smooth conduction of the Gym.
