Department offers undergraduate program (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering and Postgraduate program (M.E.) in Energy Systems and Pollution. It is one of the largest department of the institute with intake of 60 students for undergraduate course and 13 students for post graduate course. Department also offers Ph.D. program in all relevant discipline of Mechanical Engineering including Design, Production, Thermal and Industrial Management. Department has well qualified 11 regular faculty.
